Alcúdia and Port d'Alcúdia

Culture and white beaches

About 55 km from Palma lies the resort of Alcúdia. Just under 20,000 inhabitants live in the small municipality in the northeast of Mallorca. Alcúdia is particularly popular because of the good water quality on its beaches. Wide sandy beaches, small bathing bays and turquoise blue shimmering water delight both tourists and residents. Alcudia is a very popular resort, here you can relax on the beach, explore the old town or take a tour to Cap de Formentor. The region is also ideal for practicing various sorts of sports, such as golf and cycling.

Alcúdia is a historic small town in the northeast of Mallorca. The old town of Alcudia is almost completely enclosed by a city wall, which is partly walkable and from which there are beautiful views of the town and surrounding countryside. In recent decades, Alcúdia and its harbor Puerto de Alcudia, located somewhat to the south, have developed into lively vacation centers that are especially interesting for individual tourists.

Playa de Muro

Playa de Muro stretches for about 12 kilometers along the Bay of Alcudia between Port d'Alcudia and Can Picafort. This long sandy beach can be confidently counted among the most beautiful beaches of Mallorca. Its fine white sand and clear turquoise sea invite you to swim. The water is quite shallow, so the beach is well suited for families. Not all parts of the beach are developed, there is also a large undeveloped section with dunes and pine trees towards the south. A highlight at Playa de Muro is definitely the long wooden jetty that extends about 100 meters from the beach at Port d'Alcudia into the sea.

Buying real estate in Alcudia

Alcudia is easy to reach - the Ma-13 freeway leads all the way to Palma, while Alcúdia's ferry port connects the island with Menorca, mainland Spain and France. Properties in Alcúdia vary from modern villas in the seaside suburbs and traditional Mediterranean houses in the old town. Alcúdia appeals to both single people and families seeking an authentic village feel and proximity to nature. Alcúdia is an attractive location for real estate investors, as the town combines the essential factors for an idyllic Mediterranean lifestyle.

Alcudia and the surrounding area is rated as a "good location" according to sales statistics from recent years. Prices for condominiums range from EUR 4,200 to 8,500 /m2, for houses and villas from EUR 950,000 to 5 million.
